From the Los Angeles Historian archives: Two pictures taken in the City of Inglewood, California, after the 4.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred on June 21, 1920. The two story building with the Rexall Drug Store on the bottom was the Hotel Inglewood.

USC Daily Trojan ad for The Beach Boys at Pandora’s Box

From the November 6, 1962 edition of the University of Southern California’s “Daily Trojan” newspaper: an advertisement for a Beach Boys gig at the Sunset Strip coffee house, Pandora’s Box, on November 11, 1962. John of “John & Judy” is John Maus aka John Walker of The Walker Brothers. He used to give David Marks and Carl Wilson guitar lessons at his parents house in Inglewood.
