The juxtoposition of a bird sanctuary/botanical garden next to a musky brewery in the oven hot San Fernando Valley didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. The place stunk!!

I remember being there with my mother. I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, and we were on a boat floating through a bird sanctuary when a tick attached itself to my arm. I tried to brush it off but it would’nt come off! I then tried to scratch it off with my fingernail and it still wouldn’t come off. In a panic, I furiously tore it off my arm along with a nice chunk of skin. That’s what I remember about Busch Gardens. How about you?
