Arthur Lee and Johnny Echols, founding members of the critically acclaimed 60’s rock group LOVE both lived on 27th Street in Los Angeles, between Arlington and 5th.

Above is the boyhood home of Arthur Lee at 3215 W. 27th Street. He lived here with his Mother, Agnes, and Stepfather, Clinton L. Lee. (Please do not disturb the occupants!!)
Just a few doors east of the old Lee house is the apartment where future Love guitarist Johnny Echols lived with his parents Charles and Dora.

According to the 1956 Los Angeles City Directory they lived in Apartment #29. That would be the apt upstairs, at the end of the driveway.
Ornette Coleman lived on this street too, but I’m not sure where. Help!!
