I found these 8×10’s recently at the Glendale Community College Swap Meet. There aren’t any markings on the back that would give any clue as to where the pictures were taken. Obviously its a Battle of the Bands circa 1966 that happened somewhere – HOPEFULLY – in L.A. County. Since the band members are predominately Latino, Im guessing that this is in either East Los Angeles or maybe in one of the Inland Empire cities.
Here’s our Winner with his Mom. I did a hi-rez scan of this photo and the text on the award still looks like it was in Arabic.
I’m guessing that the older Caucasian man that the boys are talking too was a DJ. If you recognize these people or have any theories as to who they are, please feel free to comment.
